Egyptian Peas Stew

The pea and carrot dish is a delicious and distinctive dish characterized by a rich and nutritious flavor. It is served alongside vermicelli rice and your choice of either beef or chicken

Ingredients

  • Peas 1 Kilogram of Peas
  • carrot 0.5 Kilogram of carrot
  • onion 2 Piece of onion
  • garlic 1 Tablespoon of garlic
  • Butter 2 Tablespoon of Butter
  • tomato juice 3 Cup of tomato juice
  • Meat soup 2 Cup of Meat soup
  • Salt 1 Teaspoon of Salt
  • Ground black pepper 1 Teaspoon of Ground black pepper
  • Seven spices 1 Teaspoon of Seven spices

Instructions

    We peel the peas, wash them well, then peel the carrots, wash them, and cut them into small pieces

    In a pot over the heat, we put 2 tablespoons of butter, then we add the chopped onion, and a teaspoon of minced garlic, and leave them for about two minutes. Then we add the spices (salt, black pepper, seven spices), and stir them well. Then we add the peas and carrots and continue stirring for about 5 minutes

    After that, we add about 3 cups of fresh tomato juice and 2 cups of broth (chicken/beef) as available, and let them simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until fully cooked

    Served hot with vermicelli rice and either beef or chicken
