Tzatziki

Tzatziki is a cold and refreshing Greek sauce made from yogurt, grated cucumber, garlic, and olive oil, with the addition of dill, vinegar, and lemon juice. It has a creamy and light flavor

Ingredients

  • yogurt 1 Cup of yogurt
  • Cucumber 1 Piece of Cucumber
  • garlic 1 Teaspoon of garlic
  • olive oil 2 Tablespoon of olive oil
  • vinegar 1 Teaspoon of vinegar
  • Lemon 1 Piece of Lemon
  • Dill 2 Tablespoon of Dill
  • Salt 1 Teaspoon of Salt
  • Ground black pepper 1 Teaspoon of Ground black pepper

Instructions

    Grate the cucumber and place it in a sieve. Sprinkle a little salt over it and leave it for about 10 minutes to allow excess water to drain. Gently press the cucumber to remove any remaining water

    In a large bowl, place 1 cup of yogurt (preferably Greek yogurt), then add the grated cucumber. Next, add 2 minced garlic cloves, 1 teaspoon of vinegar, and the juice of a small lemon. Mix the ingredients well

    Then, add olive oil, salt, and black pepper to taste, along with 2 tablespoons of finely chopped dill. Mix well until all the ingredients are combined

    Cover the bowl and let the tzatziki chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving to enhance the flavor
