The Turkish börek is a traditional dish in Turkish cuisine consisting of thin layers of phyllo dough filled with various ingredients such as cheese, minced meat, or vegetables. Börek is known for its crispy exterior and soft interior
Ingredients
- 500 Gram of Filo dough
- 400 Gram of Feta cheese
- 1 Cup of Parsley
- 1 Piece of egg
- 0.25 Cup of Butter
- 0.25 Cup of oil
- 1 Teaspoon of Salt
- 1 Teaspoon of Ground black pepper
- 0.5 Cup of milk

In a bowl, mix feta cheese with chopped parsley and add salt and black pepper to taste

Spread the phyllo (goulash) dough on a clean, dry surface. Place a sheet of the dough and brush it with a mixture of oil and melted butter. Repeat the process with three sheets of dough

Place some filling at one end of the layered dough, then roll the dough into a roll (like a Swiss roll), making sure to seal the edges well

Place the börek in a baking tray greased with a little oil and repeat the process with the remaining dough and filling

In a small bowl, mix the eggs with milk and a little salt, then brush the surface of the börek with the mixture. You can sprinkle sesame seeds or black cumin seeds on top for decoration (optional)

Place the börek in a preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until it becomes golden and crispy. Let the börek cool slightly before cutting and serving
