Baba Ghanoush

Baba Ghanoush is a traditional dish originating from Lebanon. It consists mainly of mashed roasted eggplant mixed with tahini, lemon juice, garlic, and olive oil. Baba Ghanoush is a popular dish in many countries in the region, including Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, and Jordan

Ingredients

  • eggplant 2 Piece of eggplant
  • Tahini 2 Tablespoon of Tahini
  • Lemon 2 Piece of Lemon
  • garlic 1 Teaspoon of garlic
  • olive oil 2 Tablespoon of olive oil
  • Salt 1 Teaspoon of Salt
  • Ground cumin 1 Teaspoon of Ground cumin

Instructions

    We roast the eggplant over an open flame until the skin is charred and the flesh is soft. Then we let it cool slightly before peeling it and removing the charred skin

    We place the eggplant flesh in a bowl and mash it with a fork until it becomes smooth

    Then we add the minced garlic, tahini, and lemon juice to the mashed eggplant. Add salt and cumin (to taste) and mix the ingredients well until combined

    Then we transfer the mixture to a serving dish, drizzle with olive oil, and optionally garnish with chopped parsley
