Cannoli is a traditional Italian dessert known for its crispy shell and sweet creamy filling. It is considered one of the most famous and delicious desserts in Italian cuisine and is often served at special occasions and holidays

Ingredients

  • Flour 2 Cup of Flour
  • sugar 0.5 Cup of sugar
  • Butter 2 Tablespoon of Butter
  • egg 1 Piece of egg
  • Ricotta cheese 500 Gram of Ricotta cheese
  • Vanilla 1 Teaspoon of Vanilla

Instructions

    In a large bowl, mix the flour with a tablespoon of sugar and half a teaspoon of salt. Then add 2 tablespoons of butter and an egg, and combine the ingredients together. Next, add half a cup of water and mix the mixture well until a dough forms

    Knead it on a floured surface until smooth, then wrap it and place it in the refrigerator for an hour

    After an hour, roll out the dough to a very thin thickness and cut it into medium-sized circles. Then wrap each circle around a cannoli metal tube and seal the edges with a light press

    After that, fry the cannoli in hot oil until golden brown and let them cool completely before removing the metal tubes

    To prepare the filling, in a bowl, thoroughly combine ricotta cheese with half a cup of sugar (preferably powdered sugar), vanilla, and chocolate chips. You can also add cream and lemon zest (optional)

    After that, fill the cannoli with the filling using a piping bag and serve with chocolate sauce, or sprinkle with powdered sugar or nuts for decoration
