Egyptian moussaka

Egyptian moussaka is one of the traditional dishes in Egyptian cuisine. It usually consists of simple ingredients such as eggplant, bell pepper, tomato, garlic, and spices

Ingredients

  • eggplant 3 Piece of eggplant
  • green pepper 2 Piece of green pepper
  • garlic 1 Tablespoon of garlic
  • Salt 1 Teaspoon of Salt
  • Ground black pepper 1 Teaspoon of Ground black pepper
  • tomato juice 2 Cup of tomato juice

Instructions

    We slice the eggplant, then sprinkle it with a little salt to remove excess water. Let it sit for about 20 minutes, then fry it in oil and set it aside while we prepare the rest of the ingredients

    We slice the green bell pepper into strips or leave it whole (as desired), then fry it in oil as well

    In a small pot, we heat a little oil, then add a tablespoon of minced garlic, salt, and black pepper, and stir well until the garlic changes color. Then, we pour in 2 cups of tomato juice and let it simmer until it thickens to the desired consistency

    In a serving dish, we place the eggplant and bell pepper, then pour the garlic tomato mixture on top, gently tossing them until all the ingredients are well combined. Serve hot or cold
