Rice pudding is a traditional Egyptian dessert, known for its creamy texture and rich flavor. The rice is slowly cooked in milk to absorb its delicious taste, with sugar and vanilla added to create a perfectly balanced sweetness. Made from simple ingredients, it's served either cold or warm
Ingredients
- 1 Cup of rice
- 2 Kilogram of milk
- 1 Cup of sugar
- 1 Teaspoon of Vanilla
- 2 Tablespoon of Starch
- 0.5 Cup of Mixed Nuts

We place the milk in a large pot over medium heat and let it come to a boil. Then, we add the rice after washing it well, stir the mixture thoroughly, and let it simmer over low heat, stirring continuously to prevent the rice from sticking to the bottom

After the rice is cooked and becomes tender, we add the sugar and stir well until it completely dissolves

Next, we dissolve the cornstarch in a cup of cold milk and add it to the mixture, stirring continuously. Then, we add a cup of cream (optional) or 2 tablespoons of whipped cream powder, and mix well until all the ingredients are fully combined. Finally, we add the vanilla and stir once more

We then pour the rice pudding into serving dishes, garnish with nuts, and place it in the refrigerator to chill before serving
