French mushroom soup is a rich and delicious dish made from a blend of fresh mushrooms, butter, and cream. This soup is characterized by its smooth, creamy texture and savory flavor, which comes from sautéing the mushrooms with onions and garlic, then slowly cooking them in chicken broth. Cream is added to achieve a rich and balanced flavor. It is usually served warm and garnished with parsley for an added touch of flavor.

Ingredients

  • mushroom 500 Gram of mushroom
  • onion 1 Piece of onion
  • garlic 1 Teaspoon of garlic
  • Butter 3 Tablespoon of Butter
  • Flour 2 Tablespoon of Flour
  • Chicken broth 4 Cup of Chicken broth
  • cooking cream 1 Cup of cooking cream
  • Salt 1 Teaspoon of Salt
  • Ground black pepper 1 Teaspoon of Ground black pepper
  • Thyme powder 1 Teaspoon of Thyme powder

Instructions

    In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Then, add the chopped onion and sauté until it softens. Next, add a spoonful of minced garlic and stir again

    Next, add the sliced mushrooms and cook for about 5 minutes until they become tender and start releasing their juices. Then, add the flour and stir well until it is evenly distributed

    After that, gradually add the chicken broth while stirring continuously. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 15 minutes until all the ingredients are fully cooked

    Next, pour the mixture into a blender and blend the soup until it becomes completely smooth. (If you prefer having mushroom pieces in the soup, don't blend the entire batch)

    After that, return the soup to the pot and add a cup of cooking cream or a cup of whole milk. Then, add the seasonings (salt, black pepper, and dried thyme) and stir well until all the ingredients are fully combined

    Serve it hot, and you can garnish it with chopped parsley
